About this place
One diner described the hamburg steak as “fluffy”, in contrast to the meatier style they had expected. It is a dish to look out for at SUZUKI: the menu lists its “excellent hamburg steak” made with Naniwa Black Beef at ¥650. Make it the centrepiece of a meal, or pair it with small plates and hot pot.
A pair of diners ordered motsu hot pot, potato salad and hamburg steak, and remembered the generous amount of offal as well as the potato salad. The menu lists “Suzu’s potato salad” at ¥420 and aka motsu hot pot with cabbage, bean sprouts, garlic chives, kimchi, onion, maruchou and shimacho. It works for a shared dinner around the pot, or alongside a selection of small plates. Another diner also remarked on the generous portions of ingredients in the hot pot, making it an appealing choice when you want the pot to be the focus.
Kasu udon is another option, whether to finish a meal or to order instead of hot pot. A diner who arrived close to closing time says they were offered kasu udon and were able to have a warm meal. Another described the broth as flavourful and said the oil lees did not have an overpowering taste. The menu lists the dish at ¥750, with a large serving for an extra ¥200 and an extra-large serving for ¥300 more.
Alongside hot pot, charcoal-grilled dishes and Naniwa Black Beef, the menu includes charcoal-grilled chicken rice bowls, oyakodon and vegetable small plates. That gives diners who want a substantial meal and those who would rather snack a range of ways to order at the same table. Visitors have also mentioned both table seating and a tatami room. If you are planning dinner with a group, consider booking ahead.
